Description

Sharpless 2-132 The Lion Nebula. This is a very faint emission nebula along the border of the Cepheus and Lacerta constellations. It is located in a very dense starfield and is easily lost among those stars. It is home to two massive Wolf-Rayet stars. Energy from those stars is creating a ring seen as the "river of blue" running through the center of this nebula. This is 19hrs of narrowband data collected throughout August using my SVX127D scope and QHY268M camera.

This is actually the first image I have processed fully using the new GHS script. What an awesome tool. Thank you to all involved in developing it.
